The group hopes to receive the grant to deliver an art therapy project for people with autism. There will be sessions and activities encouraging people to explore ideas about autism creatively and from their own unique point of view.

It will help them create several pictures that will result in a large scale artwork to be exhibited in Doncaster and London. The work will help improve motor skills, build independence and give people a sense of achievement, as well as reducing adverse behaviour and depression.

The final project to be shown will be the (Trans)forming Cinema project by EDEN Film Productions Ltd in Sheffield on Friday. If successful they will receive £39,976 to raise awareness for transgender people and the issues they face.

People from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community will be trained to create short films on topics including younger transgender children, hate crime and media representation.

These would be submitted to the first ever Transgender Film Festival in South Yorkshire, working with local organisations to involve the community. The project aims to tackle ignorance and reduce discrimination.
