Police are investigating a spate of attempted burglaries and damage to cars and homes across Sheffield - including an attempted burglary at a fire station.

Sheffield South East LPT has released details of the following incidents in the last few days via its Facebook page.

* Attempted burglary at a flat on Skelton Grove, Woodhouse on Sunday afternoon

* Attempted burglary at Mosborough Fire Station on Queen Street, Tuesday

* Theft from motor vehicle on Richmond Road - number plates stolen - Tuesday evening

* Interference with motor vehicle on Hopedale Road, Frecheville, sometime over last two weeks

* Criminal damage to garden fence on Garland Close, Westfield, between Sunday and Tuesday

* Criminal damage to garden fence on James Walton Place, Halfway, on Saturay night

* Criminal damage to motor vehicle on Manvers Road, Beighton, on Monday night
