Athletics: big indoor meeting at Sheffield EIS
The first of two Northern Indoor Open Meetings takes place today (10.45am) at Sheffield's English Institute of Sport.
There should be some top class pole vaulting at the east end venue with City of Sheffield and Dearne athletes Abigail Roberts and George Heppinstall scheduled to compete as well as top junior Joshua Lindley-Harris, another City of Sheffield athlete.
English Decathlon champion Aiden Davies (Doncaster) is listed for the 1000 metres and shot whilst the promising Doncaster all rounder Nicole Lannie goes for the 60 metres and shot at under 15 level.
In the middle distance events Joe Lancaster (City of Sheffield) is favourite to win the 1000 metres.
Meanwhile a South Yorkshire Cross Country League meeting takes place in Barnsley on November 20.
