Fundraisers are being challenged to climb the second highest building in Sheffield to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.

The ‘Take the Stairs’ event aims to get people climbing all 390 steps and 21 floors of the 78-metre high University of Sheffield Arts Tower.

Hundreds are expected to take part in the event and run or walk to the roof on Saturday, June 21 at 9pm.

Dr Timothy Chico, a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sheffield, said: “The British Heart Foundation is investing more than £5 million in medical research at the university.”
