Artist's work on display

THE work of a former Sheffield artist is to be shown in the city for a two-month exhibition.

Paintings by Hungarian-born 74-year-old Endre Roder, renowned as one of the finest painters working in Britain today, will hang at the Ag Studios in Dore from September 11.

Now living and working in Dorset, Roder studied and worked in Sheffield from 1955 to 2000 and his paintings are on display in galleries across the world. Roder moved to the UK in 1949 and spent nine years working as a Curator of Education with Sheffield City Art Galleries before becoming a post-graduate Art History lecturer at The University of Sheffield.
