CHARITY campaigners and health experts were invited to a coffee morning by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield to help raise awareness of rheumatoid arthritis.

Coun Sylvia Dunkley hosted the event for members of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, their families and carers, plus staff from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals’ Rheumatology Department including Professor Deborah Bax.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society’s Sheffield group meets at The Friends’ Meeting House in St James’ Street, city centre, on the first Saturday of each month.

Meetings are between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and are open to new members.
