An auction held in aid of the campaign to save a row of shops earmarked for demolition on Devonshire Street in the city centre raised £2,200.

Sheffield artists including Pete McKee and Chris Saunders donated works which went under the hammer at Theatre Delicatessen on The Moor.

Campaigners need to collect £15,000 to cover liabilities as they try to secure a judicial review into Sheffield Council’s decision to approve plans to knock down and replace the building.
