Art Club members' work on display at town's museum

HUNDREDS of visitors to Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery took a look at the work of one of the borough's best-known art clubs.

Members of the South Cantley Art Club have put their paintings on show at the Chequer Road venue, becoming the first amateur group to do so.

The club was formed in 1998 and, over the years, has had more than 400 of its members' paintings on show at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Tickhill Road Hospital.

Club secretary Dorothy Cooke said the club was proud to have its work displayed at the museum.
