Arsonists wreak havoc starting bin and rubbish fires in South Yorkshire

Firefighters were alerted to wheelie bins found burning in Park Avenue, Barnsley and Stradbroke Road, Stradbroke, Sheffield.

Piles of rubbish were found burning in Wolf Road, Foxhill, Sheffield’ Buchanan Road, Parson Cross, Sheffield and School Lane, Thrybergh, Rotherham.

Each incident was reported to South Yorkshire Police and investigations are underway to trace the culprits.

Witnesses, anyone who saw anything suspicious or anyone with information on those responsible should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
