The vehicle went up in flames last night on a pathway in Grenoside between Yewlands Academy and Mansel Primary School.

Firefighters were called to the blaze, near Chaucer Road, at about 1am this morning, and one crew from Elm Lane fire station attended.

Jonathan Ward, watch manager at the station, said the fire is thought to have been started deliberately.

No one is believed to have been injured in the blaze.
