Arsonists target derelict building in Sheffield

Arsonists started a fire in a derelict building in Lowedges in Sheffield last night.

Firefighters were called to the building on Lowedges Road at about 7.10pm and saw smoke coming from the roof when they arrived.

The found a small fire in a first floor room which was quickly extinguished.

A skip was also deliberately torched on a driveway on Binsted Road, Southey Green.

A crew from Elm Lane station were called to the blaze at 1.50am.
