Arson attacks at play parks

YOBS ruined play equipment at two South Yorkshire parks in the same afternoon.

Thugs burned a wooden bridge in a play area at Todwick Recreation Ground, Goose Carr Lane, Todwick, at 2.10pm on Wednesday.

Three hours later they set fire to and destroyed a wooden slide in the playground on Wordsworth Avenue, Parson Cross, Sheffield.

Firefighters were called to deal with both arson attacks and police investigations are under way.

A bench and rubber matting at another play park, on Remington Road, Parson Cross, Sheffield, also went up in flames in a separate arson attack.
