ARRESTS have been made in connection with burglaries and sale of stolen goods in an ongoing police operation around north Derbyshire.

Operation Blizzard is being carried out across areas including Chesterfield, north east Derbyshire and Bolsover.

Detective Inspector Julian Wilson said: “Burglars, thieves and anyone handling stolen goods will be targeted.”

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with a burglary on Racecourse Road, Chesterfield.

And officers arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a burglary at a house on Chesterfield Road, Barlborough where cash was stolen.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the theft of two motorbikes from addresses in New Whittington, Chesterfield.
