Armed men terrify women in raid on flat

TWO men armed with guns burst into a Sheffield flat and raided a bedroom while three terrified women were inside.

The men, who are now being hunted by police, forced their way into a ground floor flat on Emerson Crescent, Parson Cross, and barged their way into a bedroom where three friends were sitting chatting after a night out.

The 20-year-old occupant of the flat and her two friends, aged 17 and 18, were unhurt during the raid but were threatened verbally by the gunmen.

Police investigating the armed robbery, which happened at around 11.50pm on August 27, described it as a “frightening experience” for the women.

They believe one of the men was armed with a shotgun and the other with a handgun.

The robbers stole a necklace and a bag from the bedroom before fleeing.

Officers believe the robbery was deliberately targeted at the flat but have not yet identified any particular motive.
