A terrible tragedy for commuters who trusted their way of getting to work.

There have also been 46 deaths and 325 serious injuries in South Yorkshire this year. Another terrible tragedy.

Yet, after a brief moment of press coverage for the worst accidents, they have been swept under the carpet, taken for granted and forgotten, but not fby those who suffer.

They have a lifetime, (if they survive), of shock, trauma, disabling injury and loved ones destroyed. And those who caused these accidents with carelessness, a love of speed, drink and drugs? Do they regret their actions and are they going to change their habits?

We need to think about this. How can we change for the better? And don’t blame the police – they are woefully understaffed and are doing their best.

It’s up to all of us to take more care, think more about our lifestyle, be more responsible for each other.
