Drivers have long moaned about some of the roundabouts in Sheffield; criticising their layout and safety.

But, which is the worst roundabout?

A number of drivers on Sheffield forum have already had their say on the issue, naming a number of their most dreaded ones.

Lane markings, traffic and general ‘chaos’ have been touted as reasons for drivers’ dissatisfaction.

However, others have pointed the finger squarely at other motorists who have ‘no discipline’ using the roundabouts.

Thankfully, no roundabouts in Sheffield appeared on a recently list of the ten worst roundabouts in the UK.

Recovery firm 24|7 Home Rescue named and shamed the worst roundabouts in the country, including the Mickleover roundabout in Derbyshire.

24/7 Home Rescue have also criticised roundabouts in London, Manchester and Swindon’s notorious Magic Roundabout.

The ten worst roundabouts in the UK which they have named and shamed (in no particular order) are – the A516 near Mickleover, Hanger Lane Gyratory in north-west London, Whitletts Roundabout in Ayr, Scotland, Ardwick Green in Manchester, Elephant and Castle roundabout in south-east London, Sheriffhall in Edinburgh, Pont Abraham in Camarthenshire in Wales, Magic Roundabout in Swindon, Bordesley Circus in Birmingham and the Haudagain roundabout in Aberdeen.
