The Arctic Monkeys track named as one of the best British songs of all time

One of the Arctic Monkey's earliest hits has been named in the top 10 best British songs of all time.

'I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor' was voted tenth in Radio X's list of the 100 best British songs.

The song was the band's first single from their debut studio album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not', released in 2005.

The Sheffield music legends had nine songs in the station's 'Best of British 2018 list'; including 'Mardy Bum', 'Brianstorm' and '505'.

'A Certain Romance' also made the top 20 at number 13 while 'Common People' by Sheffield's Pulp dropped three places from last year's list to 16th.

Oasis's Live Forever was voted the greatest British song by Radio X listeners in the station's third annual Best Of British poll.

Live Forever knocked Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody off the top spot, winning the listener vote for the first time.

Oasis dominated this year's chart as the most popular band securing 16 places in this year's Radio X Best of British Top 100, beating their previous year's total of 13.
