The £4.2 million Palatine Gardens project – named after a former Victorian pub in the area – is being designed by city practice Coda Studios.

Work is expected to begin at the start of 2017, with completion scheduled for March 2018.

The development is one of a number in the Shalesmoor and Kelham Island area, which is being transformed from an old industrial heartland to a community with shops, bars and cafes.
