Apprentices join Bolsover District Council team

Four young people have been given the chance to increase their skills and knowledge, with apprenticeships with Bolsover District Council.

Plumber Jake Rawson and Electrician Joshua Gozzard, both 17, have joined the Council’s Housing Maintenance team, along with Joiner Tyler Griffiths and Painter Christopher Clayton, both 16. All four hope to gain vital work experience to help them achieve relevant qualifications in their specific fields.

Bolsover District Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor John Ritchie said, “It’s never easy for young people to get onto the work ladder so we are doing all we can to help them by providing them with the necessary skills and opportunities such as these apprenticeships.”
