AN MP is taking on an apprentice.

John Healey, Labour MP for Wentworth and Dearne, is seeking the post of administrator and caseworker in work in his Wath constituency office.

The apprentice will be employed full-time for a year and go to Dearne Valley College one day a week to work towards an NVQ certificate in business and administration.

Mr Healey, who wants to encourage more employers to offer apprenticeships, said: “I am sure an apprentice will be a great addition to the constituency team and help me in the work I do as local MP.”
