Application to turn office unit into place of worship

Proposals to convert an office unit into a place of worship have been submitted to Sheffield Council's planning committee.

The applicant, Mazars LLP, on behalf of Christ Embassy, has put forward plans to extend its current space, taking up the unused office area on Scotland Street just outside Sheffield city centre.

The application site is located on the ground floor of the Metis building which will hold up to 250 people if the plans are given the go-ahead.

The church has been running in the city since 2012.
