Appeal after teenager seen acting suspiciously near Sheffield hospital

Residents are urged to be vigilant after a teenager was seen acting suspiciously close to a Sheffield hospital.

Officers are investigating reports that a teen was seen in the area around the Northern General Hospital, on Barnsley Road, Fir Vale at around 7pm on Monday, February 9.

The man described as a white teenager, wearing a blue hooded top, may have approached people.

Jon Goodison, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals’ head of security, said: “The safety of our staff, patients and visitors is an utmost priority. We are therefore advising people not to use the path through the woods near the Barnsley Road entrance of the Northern General Hospital.”
