Appeal after 13-year-old boy has bike robbed at knifepoint

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was robbed of his bike at knifepoint in Rotherham.

At about 9.25pm on Monday, March 14, two men approached a 13-year-old boy who was pushing his off-road Pit bike along Upper Wortley Road, Rotherham.

The men threatened the boy and then stole his bike - and one man is alleged to have been carrying a knife.

The knifeman is described as wearing a black and red Nike body warmer and a face covering.

The man was white, about 6ft tall and in his late teens.

The second man is described as wearing dark coloured, casual clothing. The victim was not injured but has been left shaken by the incident. The two men then rode away on the stolen bike along Droppingwell Road towards Shiregreen.

The bike is black and white and has a distinctive ‘Monster’ energy logo on the frame and tank.
