Annual show for South Yorkshire villages

The Thorpe Hesley and Scholes Village Show in Rotherham takes place at Trinity Community Centre in Thorpe Hesley on Saturday, September 15.

Show classes include vegetables, flowers, fruit, cookery, handicrafts, children’s and floral art.

Entries can be brought to the hall from 8.30am until 11am on the day.

Attractions on the day include Thorpe Hesley brass band, Thorpe Hesley village choir, Jill Hyde Leigh Dancing school display, Apex Sound, stalls, a bar serving real ale, zumba and tai chi displays, face painting, children’s games, tasty homemade lunches and ice creams.

Organiser Kay Hester said: “Come along with your entries and enjoy a fantastic time helping us to enhance the sense of community in these villages.”

The show opens at 12.30pm and entry is £1 per adult.
