Two allotments sheds have been torched in suspected arson attacks at the Rodney Hill allotments in Loxley.

Firefighters from Rivelin and Elm Lane were called out at 7.10pm last night.

There were slight traffic delays on Rodney Hill while the fires were brougt under control.

Crews left the scene by about 8pm and an investigation into the cause of the ‘suspicious’ fires is to be carried out by police.

Firefighters put out a small rubbish fire near some garages on Seabrook Road, Norfolk Park last night.

The Central crew was called at about 8.50pm and they were at the scene for about an hour.

Some wheelie bins were set alight on Deerlands Close, Parson Cross.

The Elm Lane fire crew received multiple calls about the incident between 5am and 7am this morning.

They remained at the scene until about 7.30am.
