Alleged fraudster ‘missed court hearing’

An alleged fraudster who failed to turn up at court in Sheffield is being sought by police.

Sheila Turner, aged 60, of Woolley Wood Road, Shiregreen, Sheffield, is accused of forging letters from Help for Heroes and Macmillan Cancer Support.

She had been due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court charged with two counts of faking donation letters from the charities.

Turner is also accused of three counts of theft and two counts of fraud. The alleged offences were committed between 2011 and 2012 when it is said £13,800 was stolen.

The warrant for her arrest was issued by Sheffield Magistrates’ Court after she failed to appear.
