ALERT: 'Man in anorak' who followed woman and made inappropriate comments on the loose in Sheffield

A man in an anorak who followed a woman and made inappropriate comments towards her is at large in Sheffield.

Police hunting the suspect have released an e-fit picture of the man following the incident in Harbord Road in Woodseats on Friday, December 9, last year at 6.30pm.

The 54-year-old woman only came forward to report the incident last week and told officers she was walking down Harbord Road and was near the Spar shop at the junction with Abbey Lane when an unknown man approached asking for directions.

A police spokesperson said: "A short time later, the woman left the shop and began walking back towards Harbord Road. She then saw the same man stood at the corner of Harbord Road, at the junction with Abbey Lane.

!It is reported that the man approached the woman before making inappropriate comments to the her. The woman was not injured during the incident."

Police have not confirmed if the comments made were of a sexual nature.

The man is described as being aged in his early to mid 30s, of a large build, about 5ft 10ins tall and spoke with a strong Sheffield accent. He is thought to have been wearing a dark grey three quarter length anorak, dark casual trousers and white trainers.
