Aldi creates 50 extra jobs in its stores across Sheffield

Aldi has created 50 new jobs at its Sheffield stores to support the supermarket retailer’s growing popularity.

It is on the hunt for 26 stock assistants and 24 store assistants and apprentices for its branches on Flora Street, Handsworth Road and Meadowhall.

Full training is provided over a 12-week period. Salaries start at £7.25 per hour and the firm said there are realistic prospects for progression.

Jonathan Neale of Aldi said: “Aldi has become more popular in Sheffield in recent years and as a result, the city has become a key area of growth for us.

“We’re looking for applicants who can demonstrate relevant retail experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.”
