Airport rise in passengers

ROBIN Hood Airport saw an increase of more than a quarter in the number of passengers over the bank holiday weekend.

Figures show a 27.6 per cent increase in the numbers on the same weekend in 2006, taking the figure up to 19,805.

Managing director David Ryall said: “I’m delighted to report the significant increase in passenger throughput year on year, which demonstrates what an impact Robin Hood Airport continues to have on the region.”

Thomsonfly has announced more flights to Geneva from Doncaster from December.
