More than 132,000 passengers travelled through Robin Hood Airport last month, with the top five routes to and from Palma de Mallorca, Dublin, Malaga, Jersey and Alicante.

August also saw the busiest month for flights to Amsterdam, Belfast, Dublin, Cracow, Paphos, Palma and Ryanair’s Pisa/Florence service.

More than 10,000 passengers have travelled to Gdansk in its first two months of operation, and more than 33,500 passengers have made use of the service to George Best Belfast City Airport since its launch in October.

Robin Hood Airport managing director David Ryall said: “Now we’re looking ahead to new routes opening up this winter, like Lanzarote, Sharm-el-Sheikh, Poznan, Wroclaw, and the reintroduction of high frequency flights to and from Geneva, a route which is in much demand.”
