An air weapon was fired through the window of a house in Sheffield.

The front window of a house in Loxley Road, Hillsborough, was damaged in the incident.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to an incident in Loxley Road, Sheffield, following reports that the front window of an address had been smashed.

"Officers attended and carried out inquiries at the scene.

"They believe the damage to the window was caused by an air weapon being fired. No one was injured

"CCTV footage recorded in the area has been reviewed and inquiries are ongoing."
