Air ambulance called after motorcyclist seriously injured in Peak District crash

The air ambulance has been called after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in the Peak District.

The incident happened this afternoon near the village of Curbar in the Derbyshire Dales.

Police said the collision – which involved two motorcycles – is believed to have happened when one rider failed to see the other when pulling out from a junction.

Officers added the injuries caused were serious but not life-threatening and that the road had now reopened.
