Drumming, songs and dance with an African flavour delighted parents at a primary school presentation.

The finale to the year at Hartington C of E Primary School was a showcase of learning as pupils recited poems and mapped out Ghana, Zambia, South Africa and Kenya. Song and dance routines from each area were performed with Rachel Wilkes from the Derby and Derbyshire Music Partnership and Bemma Akyeampon, of African Ark, Nottingham.

Head teacher, Tracy Blackwell said: “The performance was absolutely fantastic.”
