The use of cloud-based accounting software has transformed the way accountants can work with their clients.

This is because it provides the ability to access data from any location, at any time of the day, on any device with an internet connection.

All this, with the added benefit of providing physical security. Should there be a flood, fire or equipment failure, the data will be stored safely in the cloud.

Subscribing to a cloud-based accounting system will lead to financial savings through less hardware.

Typically, cloud systems involve paying a fixed monthly fee, so as well as having the comfort of knowing your data is safe, savings can be made.

The additional benefit is you will always be using the latest software available which will be included in the subscription fee.

The implementation or upgrade of an accounting system across an organisation can be time consuming but with a cloud system the setup would be seamless.

By using the cloud based software, real time access is achievable which enables us to solve any problems and correct any errors while keeping the client completely up to date with their finances and cash flow position.

This is so that they can concentrate on their business fully without any disruption.

The benefit of having a cloud-based system is that it offers a secure, safe and cheaper way for clients to manage their financial records.

This in turn means for a more efficient way of correctly maintaining the records and allows for the accountant to have a more proactive role in the client’s business rather than being the traditional ‘year-end accountant’.

We have found that being able to access our client’s accounting system at any time has improved the services we are able to offer, from the completion and submission of VAT returns to carrying out bank reconciliations through the bank feeds module and ultimately the preparation of management accounts.

This results in fewer errors and inconsistencies in delivering accurate, real time information for our client’s business.

All of this contributes to an improved accountant-client relationship so that we can work together to grow their business.
