A street light outside the pedestrian entrance to the Tramways Medical Centre Holme Lane, Hillsborough has not worked for months, despite the fault being reported to contractors Amey several times, according to Paul Bryant, of Hillsborough.
He said: “Pedestrians and cars need maximum lighting at this very busy entrance/exit to ensure safety, particularly the elderly.”
Graham Scragg, street light manager for Amey, said: “We are sorry for the problem with the Holme Lane street light. We have been to check the light several times and have discovered an intermittent fault. We will now carry out a permanent repair.” To report highway problems go to www.sheffield.gov.uk/reportmystreet or call 0114 273 4567.
