A DAD charged with murdering his seven-week-old son has appeared again in court.
Ian Hutchinson, aged 24, of Barnsley, is accused of killing baby Kieron Hutchinson, who died at Sheffield Children’s Hospital last September.
During a preliminary hearing at Sheffield Crown Court, Hutchinson’s barrister, Robert Smith, said he was “a young man of good character” who “vehemently denies” the murder allegation.
Flanked by three prison guards and dressed in a white shirt and jeans, Hutchinson wept as he was remanded in custody and led down to the cells.
A two-week trial is due to start in July in Sheffield, heard before High Court judge Mr Justice Openshaw.
