A taste of life in NHS for pupils

SIXTH-FORM students will be treating burns, applying dressings and pots and using medical equipment in a hands-on experience of a career in the NHS.

More than 40 students from across Sheffield will take part in the schools day at Sheffield Children’s Hospital today, participating in mocked-up scenarios seen every day at the hospital.

Clinical trainer Valerie Kellett said: “These events are very exciting for young people and important when they are choosing a career.”
