“The outpouring of support from friends, family, and the wider motocross community has been truly overwhelming and is a testament to the impact he had on those around him.

“We are raising funds to help support Ross's loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

“Every contribution, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.

“Thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us honour the memory of a truly loved young man.

“Rest in peace, Ross. You will never be forgotten.”

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “At 10.22am on Sunday (May 31) we were called to reports that a 36-year-old man had suffered serious injuries after coming off his bike at a motorbike track off Bentley Moor Lane in Doncaster.

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware and are being supported by officers.”

“A file is being prepared for the coroner as an investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains open.”

Eddie Todd, owner of the park, which attracts off-road bikers from across the region, posted a tribute online after the tragedy.

He wrote: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic accident that occurred at our park.

“Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of the rider who lost his life.

“This is an incredibly difficult time for everyone involved, and we extend our sincere condolences to all who are grieving.
