A contortionist cat is set to perform at Doncaster Frenchgate

The spirit of Alice in Wonderland will take over the Frenchgate Shopping Centre this Friday (August 14) when Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat will entertain shoppers in weird and wonderful ways.

Alice will be fascinating shoppers with extraordinary acrobatics, the Cheshire Cat will be demonstrating his contortionist skills and the Mad Hatter will be entertaining audiences with juggling.

The Mad Hatter will also show off his endurance skills while daring to lay across a bed of nails.

The shows will run every half hour from 11am until 3pm giving shoppers plenty of opportunity to sample the entertainment.

Throughout the Summer Frenchgate has been offering customers music, workshops and treasure hunts to mark 150 years of Alice in Wonderland.

Frenchgate’s ‘Enchanting Wonderland’ will also celebrate the special anniversary of the Lewis Carroll classic on August 13 and 14, running ‘Queen of Hearts’ candy bag workshops.

In addition a range of Frenchgate’s 120 top brand shops will have ‘Buy Me’–style special offers available for customers on the look-out for a bargain.
