BLUEBELL Wood Children’s Hospice received a funding boost with a £3,000 donation from a local MP.

Rother Valley MP Kevin Barron is an adviser to the Japanese Pharmaceutical Group, and gave his £3,000 payment to the North Anston hospice.

Sarah Champion, hospice chief executive, said staff were ‘extremely grateful’.

Mr Barron ran the London Marathon for the good cause in 2007. “I’m happy to help such a worthy charity,” he said.
