£2m boost for neighbourhood

A COMMUNITY is to have £2 million injected into its regeneration.

Chesterfield Council chiefs have agreed to spend the cash in Barrow Hill after consultation with residents last summer.

The money will be spent on improving the environment, repairing boundary walls and fencing, beautifying green spaces, building footpaths and parking arrangements.

Residents are to be consulted again, with an open meeting in the pipeline, and work is to begin in the summer.
