WASTE services in a South Yorkshire town can now be contacted 24 hours a day via a new online service.
To access the facility, Barnsley residents need to log onto the council’s website - www.barnsley.gov.uk - where they can report a missed bin collection and order new or replacement waste and recycling bins.
The service also allows residents to arrange a special collection of bulky items, apply for an assisted collection or household waste recycling centre permit and much more.
Business users can enquire about waste and recycling services offered by the council’s commercial waste department.
Residents who would prefer to contact the service the old-fashioned way can call the telephone helpline on 01226 772045, which is open from 9am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm on Friday.
