17-year-old boy stabbed in Sheffield park

A 17-year-old boy has been stabbed in a park in Sheffield this evening.

Police were called to Endcliffe Park, Sheffield at about 7.20pm following reports that the teenager had been injured.

They found that the boy had suffered a stab wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.

A cordon is in place at the scene while officers carry out their enquiries. No one else was injured and no arrests have yet been made.

The boy’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening, according to South Yorkshire Police.
