A 15-year-old tried to 'show off' in his mum's car around Sheffield - but it didn't end well

For some, this day comes near or around their 17th birthday when teenagers are legally allowed to start preparing for their practical test.

SYP Operational Support revealed on Facebook that the teenage boy decided to take his friends out for a spin in his mum's car.
However, as the picture shows, things didn't exactly go to plan.
The car ended up with its right front wheel dislodged from the vehicle and South Yorkshire Police said it eventually had to be written off.

"The day didn't quite end as he had intended.
"One written off car, a thick ear from mum and dad and an appearance in court all for trying to show off."
