COMMUNITY groups in Derbyshire are set to share £1 million in one off grants for major projects such as play or sports facilities which will benefit local people for at least the next ten years.
Sums available could range from £10,000 up to £250,000, to be spent on key building projects or permanent equipment.
The building grants will contribute towards the total costs of projects and are designed to help groups improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of their communities.
Priority will be given to partnerships that have already raised their own funds towards a new project, can get started in the next 12 to 18 months and can demonstrate an ability to support future running costs. The scheme will be launched in June.
