A walker made the disturbing discovery in Bawtry’s King’s Wood earlier this week.
Sharing the bizarre discovery on Facebook, she wrote: “Anyone know why these baby dolls have been left in Kings Wood? Feeling pretty freaked out now. Any volunteers to remove them, bring a carrier bag...”

The incident appears to mirror a similar discovery in Staffordshire last month when a collection of baby dolls was found near to Cannock Chase.
Bawtry residents were quick to condem the grim display on Facebook, describing it as ‘sinister,’ ‘sick’ and ‘horrific.’
One wrote: “Think I may be going back with a bag and some gloves. It's really not nice for the kids to see.”

Another posted: “We found the same thing last week, went back the next day and they’d gone,” while another post read: “Some really sick people out there.”
There was also a suggestion that the dolls were props used by a local ghost hunting group during a recent video in the woods.
Another Facebook post said: “I think its probably some copycat thing there was something in the news the other day about someone finding some in a wood somewhere near Birmingham.”
In that incident, a 64-year-old woman was left shocked after making the startling find as she walked through Cannock Chase, near Hednesford, on January 28.
