Sheffield charities can apply for the Veezu Charity Incubator initiative – free office space and marketing, strategy and IT support
Veezu’s Charity Incubator launched in 2020 under their former name, City Taxis, in support of small charities in their local community. The space was designed to nurture the chosen charity for 12 months by providing a safe and stable environment, taking away some of the financial and business pressures they face.
As part of the incubation process, the chosen charity would receive marketing, strategy and IT support, network growth opportunities, and where possible, a fundraising event on behalf of the charity. Office space is also provided to house a small team or to be used for meetings.
Local homeless charity The Archer Project joined Veezu as their Charity Incubator two years ago, after their premises suffered severe damage from an arson attack. The incubator has enabled The Archer Project to enhance the charity's effectiveness and support them through an extremely tough period in their journey.
Tim Renshaw, CEO of The Archer Project, expressed gratitude for the support received from Veezu during the incubation period, saying: "We applied for the Incubator Hub at Veezu because we were at a critical development point. Our funding team needed to grow in capacity and skill. The incubator gave us the space, time, and support we needed. Key to our growth was visibility, good communications and connections, and the team at Veezu helped us with those.
“We have really enjoyed our time in the Veezu Incubator. They are a great team who were welcoming and supportive of our needs as a charity and helped us support our growing team."
Veezu is now seeking another local charity to utilise and benefit from the unique resources the Charity Incubator offers.
