Man injured in Sheffield blaze still critical in hospital

A man injured in a fire in Sheffield last weekend remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The elderly man, thought to be in his 70s, was brought out of a burning building on Chesterfield Road, Heeley, by firefighters deployed to the blaze on Sunday morning.

The fire started in a window shop and spread to flats above.

Flames also spread into the roof space of the terraced row of shops and homes.
