Prepare to be under siege - a global army of the world’s biggest superheroes is about to swoop.

The World of Superheroes Convention - at Sheffield University- will bring to life the fantasy world of movie and comic-book heroines and heroes.

And here’s your chance to enjoy this inaugural event for free… We have a superhero stash of tickets to spirit readers into what promises to be the most engaging and interactive event of its type ever seen in the UK.

Celebrity guests including Darth Vader actor David Prowse MBE and Ian Mcelhinney, alias Ser Barristan Selmy, hero of TV epic Game Of Thrones, are lined up and WOSCon organisers are expecting up to 8,000 visitors - many in costumes.Every hero from Wonder Woman to Wolverine, Batman to Spiderman, the Hulk to Luke Skywalker will be travelling through ten interactive zones.

The ​History​ Zone promises a visual treat for superhero fans and ​the ​Interactive Zone​ will be showcasing the latest in 7D technology, plus ​live ​3D printing ​- watch Thor’s hammer being made from scratch​.

There will be a walk-through digital history of the superhero genre, Kids’ Zone activities, a superhero theatre class and a Kids’ Cosplay Catwalk with prizes for the best mini Costumes. And you can add to your superhero collections in the WOS Marketplace.
