police officers from Derbyshire joined schools and community groups to decorate Christmas trees in the grounds of Hardwick Hall.
Bobbies from the safer neighbourhood team serving the area around Hardwick Hall used a force crest as the star at the top of their tree.
PC Tony Bagshaw said: “We regularly work with the staff at Hardwick Hall as it is a big part of the community we serve.
“We are pleased to have been invited to take part.”
The tree decorating scheme is part of the National Trust’s community engagement initiative to involve the local community with Hardwick Hall.
Jo Rawson, Community Learning Officer at Hardwick Hall, said: “We had such a positive response to the idea last year that we decided to run it again this year with double the amount of trees.
“We hope lots of people will come and visit us over the Christmas period and look at all the hard work and imagination that has gone into the different decorations.”
